Content Pages in SharePoint 2013

Basically there are 3 types of content pages in SharePoint 2013.

Publishing pages:

Publishing name indicate it should have publishing feature enabled in SharePoint feature list to display the publishing feature. Publishing page is available only in SharePoint on sites in which publishing feature in enabled.

Let’s take example of SharePoint Approval workflow which contains process of review and approve before publish it.You can create publishing pages using page layouts which define the body of a page.

Web Part pages:

Web part pages are the building blocks of SharePoint components. Web parts pages contains web part zones which display the pieces of blocks. It display things like images, views etc.

Wiki pages:

Wiki pages uses to create content quickly and collaborate with each other’s. This types of pages widely used into Team sites.
